Richmond, VA - Governor McDonnell has reversed course and will keep state funding for Area Agencies for the Aging.
We told you last week about the budget amendment that would change state law - and significantly cut funding for those agencies.
The Central Virginia Area Agency on Aging would have lost $200,000. But the governor's office announced Monday that the governor has officially asked for that budget amendment to be withdrawn. A number of state legislators from both parties had vowed to vote against the amendment.
