Buchanan, VA - A South Carolina woman is safe after canoeing down the James River in Botetourt County. Sheriff's Deputies called the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries around 6:00 Monday night about a woman canoeing with a group.
The group started at Buchanan on the James River down the river. But the woman got separated from her group. And there was concern over her safety. But deputies say around 7:30 Monday night some citizens spotted her about four miles down the river -- and took her back to her car in Buchanan. Investigators say she suffered no injuries.

Buchanan, VA - Botetourt County Sheriff's department is looking for a missing woman in Buchanan.
