Elementary School in Bedford Co. on Lockdown - WSET.com - ABC13

Bedford Co., VA - Thomas Jefferson elementary school went on a short lockdown Thursday morning.

Officials say a child thought he saw a gun lying on school ground and told the principal. The principal went out and didn't see anything. Officials locked the school down as a precaution. 

Officials with the Bedford County Sheriff's Office came out to inspect the school and didn't find anything.
