Gary Sinise and his Lieutenant Dan Band will kick off a music festival Thursday in Martinsville Saturday, May 26. It's all to raise money to help build a home for a veteran. Marine J.B. Kerns lost both legs and an arm in Afghanistan. The concert's at 7 p.m. and the Rooster Walk Music & Arts festival will run Friday until Sunday.
May 25 kicks off Festival in the Park in Roanoke and you don't want to miss these four days of fun. There will be tons of daytime activities all for free - and in the evenings, you can check out the concerts 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. Those are $15 at the gate.
If you're a fan of jazz come out to the Jazz Fest at Blue Ridge Vineyards on Saturday, May 26. Come out from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. to listen to some great music and get their famous sangria and wine. It's $15 or $25 for couples. You can bring your own picnic too!
If you haven't been to Snowflex on Liberty Mountain- this is your chance! This Saturday is Community Day, and you can come out for community day and ski for free. There's also free tubing and snowboarding, and they'll have bounce houses for the kids.
