Roanoke, Co., VA - One good place to chase away that summer heat this weekend is at Splash Valley Park. The Roanoke County Parks and Rec water park re-opened Friday.
This is the park's third season, and management says the park has gained a good financial foothold and is breaking even.
Last year more than 45,000 people made their way to the attraction.
Some changes to the operation are hoping to boost that number to 55,000 visitors this summer.
