LU, VT, and UVa Open Play in NCAA Golf Championships
Liberty, Virginia and Virginia Tech are three of the 30 teams competing this week in the NCAA Golf Championships at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles. All the teams played a practice round Monday, then they'll play three days of stroke play starting Tuesday with the top eight teams after stroke play advancing to match play.
Jeff Thomas, LIBERTY U. GOLF COACH, said "Now we really feel we're a top 25 team coming into the season, I think we've proven that in our last few tournaments. So I mean our goal is to make it to match play. If you make it to match play, then once you make it to match play anything can happen."
