Murder Trial Delayed Again in Roanoke

Reporter:  David Tate

Roanoke, VA - The trial of the man accused of killing a Roanoke security guard has been delayed again.

Gene Anthony Brown, 29, is charged with the murder of Steve Orange Jr. in July 2011.

Orange, a former Roanoke police officer, was working as a security guard at the Afton Gardens apartments when he was killed.

This is the second time Brown's trial has been delayed.  Both times because defense witnesses were not available.

Brown's trial is rescheduled for September.
