Update Friday 11:10 a.m.:
Pittsylvania Co., VA - Family members say 4-year-old Laron Harris is not in a coma but did have part of his skull removed since his brain swelled.
Harris was riding his bike on Hazel Lane at Banister Road when he darted out in front of the car and was thrown into a ditch.
Crews airlifted him to the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
It will be about a week for the brain swelling to go down. But other than that, he should make a full recovery.
