Lynchburg, VA- The annual Children's Miracle Network Telethon this past weekend was a big success, bringing in $311,248.
ABC 13 is proud to contribute in a small way to that fundraising. Dhomonique Ricks and Len Stevens hosted the telethon. The incredible part of the Children's Miracle Network is that the money raised helps local children. This money will go toward the new pediatric center at Lynchburg General Hospital and the intensive care nursery at Virginia Baptist Hospital.
"It provides special equipment such as monitors and resuscitation systems for children in pediatric centers to help them get better. Children are our most precious resource. We can't do any better than that and help them," said Jack Whisler, coordinator, CMN.
ABC 13 has been working with the Children's Miracle Network for 25 years. We hope there are many more to come.
