Lynchburg, VA - Governor McDonnell signed nine different bills Thursday on the Central Virginia Community College campus.
The bills all have the same goal and either reduce or eliminate state mandates on localities. The legislation ranges from how local governments deal with recycling to public assistance applications.
McDonnell says this will ease the burden on local governments, so they can focus on core services.
These bills are a result of the Governor's Task Force for Local Government Mandate Review, created in September of last year.
