Lynchburg - Fight Night in Vegas is Friday night for Lynchburg boxer Scott Sigmon. It's Cujo's big shot in the bright lights as the 25-year-old squares off with former middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik in a scheduled 10-rounder at the Hard Rock Cafe on ESPN2. Pavlik has more knockouts, 33, than Sigmon has fights in his career, 25. But the area boxer is convinced he'll shock the experts tomorrow night and upset the 30-year-old Pavlik.
Sigmon says "He has kind of a Mike Tyson-esque aura in the super middleweight/middleweight division because he's got 33 knockouts in 38 of his victories. Bottom line is I'm not afraid of him. So if he wants to come out and stretch me out and make me leave on a stretcher, I mean he's going to have to do it because I'm not going to dive on the ground, I'm not going to lay down for anyone and I have no fear of pain or injury."
