Henry Co., VA -- It's a step in the right direction for the Martinsville-Henry County SPCA. The Board of Supervisors has decided to hire a person to help keep the SPCA open longer.
A while back, they asked the board for help after running out of money to keep their partnership with the pound alive. Now they say this staff member will help, but they still need $45,000 to get the animals ready for adoption.
The board has not made a decision yet on that.
