Danville, VA -- A Danville teen will spend the next 38 years behind bars. Da'Quan La'James Saunders, 15, was charged with first degree murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm.
A judge sentenced him in Danville Circuit Court Friday.
He killed Marchello Waddell back in November at the Woodside Village Apartments. Saunders will also serve two years of probation.
