RADFORD - Brookville had its 12-game win streak snapped in the Group AA state championship. Powhatan beat the Bees 4-1 in the final game of the high school baseball season.
The Bees scored just one run against Division One pitching prospect Joe Manion who committed to UMass.
The game was tied 1-1 in the 4th inning when Powhatan scored what became the game winning run.
Brookville's Travis Brunette and Blake Trent led the Bees with two hits apiece.
Brookville's only run of the contest was scored by leadoff hitter Gunnar Saunders in the top of the first inning.
