Roanoke Co., VA - The weather made for a pretty scary night for three hikers.
Roanoke County Fire and Rescue crews were called out to Poor Mountain around 8 p.m. Monday.
Six people in all hiked the Bottom Creek Gorge Trail, and three of them did not come back.
They had crossed a creek, and then after heavy rain, the creek level was too high for them to cross back over.
The three men were in a remote area and it took rescue crews hours to figure out exactly where they were.
They were eventually able to find a home that was nearby and hike to where the men were.
The three men were rescued around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. They were not injured but were dehydrated and cold.
