It's going to be a beautiful weekend, and there are some great evens going out outdoors.
Come out to Thirsty Thursdays in Lynchburg on June 14. The Mark Miller Band will kick off the event at Wards Crossing West. The outdoor concert series will be running throughout the summer with a new band taking the stage every week. Gates open at 5 p.m. and music goes on until 9:30 p.m.. Tickets are $5 at the gate.
If you love bluegrass music and more importantly---tractor pulls, you don't want to miss Antique Farm Days June 15-17. Friday through Sunday you can check out antique tractors, engines and tools. The antique tractor pull will go on Saturday. The festival is 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
A Lynchburg tradition is back this Saturday. The James River Batteau Festival starts at 9 a.m. There will be a canoe and kayak race, fishing tournament, arts and crafts and music. The historic batteau will starts its 8-day trip down the river at 11 a.m. Get more details here.
And on Sunday, it's time to lace up the running shoes and come out for a 5K and Youth run! The Presbyterian Homes and Family Services hosts the event. The race starts at 8 a.m. Find out more and register here.
