Design Project in Lynchburg

Lynchburg, VA - The Academy of Fine Arts is looking for a design to cover their Main Street building. As far as rules go - there are none.

But the best part of the project is that the Academy has made it easy.

" I think what's appealing to it is the artist doesn't have to paint it. They just have to submit a design, so that makes it easy for the artist. So they can be as creative as they want to be and we will take care of the hard part, of actually getting it painted," said Ted Batt, exhibition curator.

The winner gets $1,000, and the Academy gets all rights to the design.

The deadline for submissions is August 1, and winners will be notified the following week.
