Amherst County Native Chris Pollard Named Duke Baseball Coach

Durham, NC - Amherst County native Chris Pollard has been hired as the Duke Blue Devils' new head baseball coach.

Pollard guided Appalachian State to its first NCAA Tournament in 26 years this season, the Mountaineers going 41-and-18. Pollard coached eight seasons at Appalachian State. He replaces Sean McNally, who resigned last month.
