Roads Back Open After Tractor Trailer Accident on Monacan Bridge

Amherst Co., VA - Officials say the scene of a tractor trailer accident on Route 29 on the Monacan Bridge has been cleared.

There should not be any more traffic.

Amherst Co., VA - State Police are working to clear a tractor trailer accident on the Monacan Bridge.

Officers say at about 7:30 a.m. the driver was heading south on the Route 29 Bypass and fell asleep behind the wheel, hitting the guardrail.

Officials says he has minor injuries.

The driver has been charged with reckless driving.
