Woman Charged for Causing Chain Reaction Crash

Roanoke, VA - A driver has been charged in a chain reaction crash in Roanoke Friday morning.

Police say Sylvia Gunn, 65, lost control of her car on Interstate 581 between the Colonial Avenue and Elm Avenue exits right around 9 a.m.

She hit the jersey wall and guardrail before hitting a pickup truck. Then, police say someone driving an SUV stopped to avoid the wreck when she was hit by another car.

The SUV driver was the only one taken to the hospital. There's no word on her condition.

Gunn has been charged with failure to maintain control.
