It's Kirk's brother Lee everyone will be chasing entering Saturday's round two at Falling River in Appomattox. The two-time defending champ used a run of four straight birdies and a hot putter en route to an opening 5-under 66. Fisher leads Rustburg golfer Clayton Forren by two entering round two, Forren shot 3-under 68. Maxey Wilkerson is three back at 69.
Lee Fisher, the first-day leader after firing an opening round 5-under 66, said "I was very pleased with that round. I had maybe one bad tee shot out there on seven, ended up making bogey. But I came back with four straight birdies, happy with that. I finished out the back side with another 33 as I did on the front, 2-under on the front, 3-under on the back, but pretty happy with 66 going into tomorrow."
