Danville, VA- Students age 17 to 60 graduated on Saturday through the
Adult & Career Education Center ceremony in Danville.
The ceremonies were held at George Washington's High School Auditorium, and
this is the second graduation for the program, the first was held this past
December, because class size was so large.
Students today realize that it is very hard to find a decent
paying job without a GED or High school diploma.
Deciding to go back to school is a tough choice for most-
but the benefits outweigh the risks.

encouraging them to pay it forward, to go back in their communities- to go back
in their church and everything that they went through today to give it back to
reach out- if they see a young person standing on the corner to speak to them
in their neighborhood'
Over 250 students have earned a GED or High school diploma
with this program Since July of 2011.
