Lynchburg, VA - The Juneteenth Health and Safety Fair was on Saturday in Lynchburg.
Those in attendance were encouraged to take part in Mayor Joan Foster's "Live Healthy Lynchburg Challenge".
The goal of today's festivities was to bridge the gap between Church and Community.
Fair goers had the opportunity to receive free HIV tests, free mammogram's, and also donate blood to the Red Cross. Mayor Foster says its important for everyone, including children, to live healthier lifestyles.
"Teach their children because they can model this behavior to their generation, and the next generation of children may not live as long as my generation because of obesity," said Mayor Foster.
