The Hillcats closed the first half red-hot, winning nine of their last 10. They'll open the second half Thursday with a weeklong homestand, the first three with Salem.
Tuesday night, a league-high five Hillcats will represent the Carolina League in the All-Star Game against the California League in Winston-Salem.
Tommy La Stella, CAROLINA LEAGUE 2ND BASE STARTER, said "Obviously we're well-represented at this All-Star game and deservedly so. I mean we're in first place, we're a very talented team and it's good that everyone's getting an opportunity, a majority of the guys who've been a big part of the offense getting an opportunity."
