Chatham, VA - Heads up if you live near Chatham: The Pittsylvania County health department says a raccoon in the Catawba Drive area recently tested positive for rabies.
The area is between Tightsqueeze and Motley's Mill.
Officials say it is possible that this rabid raccoon came into contact with other neighborhood animals.
Unvaccinated animals should be vaccinated immediately.
