If you like horse racing, horse shows and anything horses- you have to come out to the Roanoke Valley Horse Show this week.
The competition and benefit is one of the top horse shows in the nation. It features hunter, jumper, barrel races and so much more. It's going at the Salem Civic Center June 18- 23. You can get a super pass for 3 days or pay per night. Get all the details on the event's website.
The Endstation Theatre presents, "Big River" starting Friday night. The bluegrass inspired musical is based on the Adventures of Huckeblerry Finn. It'll be on stage until June 24 at Sweet Briar College.
On Saturday- three great country music bands will be performing in Nelson County. Gator and the Sundown Band will be at the Piney River Moose Lodge. The bands Sierra and Surrender will also be on stage. The event is 4 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. That's $15.
If you're looking for a fancy night dancing—the Lynchburg Historical Foundation is hosting its 40th Anniversary Gala. It's Saturday to the Craddock Terry hotel. For 100 dollars, you can enjoy heavy hors d'ouvres, live music and two drink tickets.
