Woman in Stable Condition After Two Car Accident

Amherst Co., VA - An Amherst County woman is in stable condition after a serious two-car accident in Amherst County Tuesday.

Troopers say just before 6 p.m., a 16-year-old girl was driving on Mansion Way when she ran off the road, came back on the road and then T-boned 53-year-old Darlene Collier's car.

Collier's car then flipped over after impact. She was trapped in the car for 30 minutes before emergency crew got her out.

Collier was flown to Lynchburg General Hospital where she is in stable condition. The 16-year-old  was taken to the hospital as a precaution. Troopers say she was charged with reckless driving.
