Botetourt Co., VA - State Police say an eight-year-old was taken to the hospital Wednesday morning after being hit by a car in Botetourt County.
They say a 42-year-old woman was driving north on Rainbow Forest Drive around 8:00 a.m. when she came over a hill and hit the child. We're told the child was not wearing a helmet and was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. There's no word on the child's identity or condition.
No charges have been filed against the driver. The incident is still under investigation.
