Lynchburg, VA - Wednesday, nearly 50 police officers from around the state were in Lynchburg to learn the proper way to install a car seat.
Safe Kids and the Lynchburg Police Department helped sponsor the event.
All the officers are certified to install the seats, but this event is designed to help them master newer models. They rotated through different cars to get hands-on experience.
Officer Ronnie Sitler says it's all about education that will save lives.
"It's one of our goals for traffic safety at the police department and this is a way to one educate the officers here so they can go back and educate the citizens of Lynchburg"
Sitler wants to remind everyone it's okay to ask for help when installing your child's seat. They're willing to help.
