Franklin Co., VA - The Sheriff's office in Franklin County has a warning Wednesday about a phone scam.
They say the caller claims to be an advertising agent for the Franklin County 911 call center. Deputies say the caller asks businesses for credit card numbers and says they'll print calendars and magnets for the company.
Then, they claim proceeds will benefit the communications center. Deputies are not fundraising in this way.
