A playoff series to determine college football's national champion could be right around the corner.
BCS commissioners announced today they've agreed on a four-team seeded playoff to decide a national champion. The national semifinals would rotate between the major bowls and the site of the national championship game would be bid out like the Super Bowl.
A committee would pick the four semifinal teams. The plan now goes to school presidents for their approval.
