Hey there, it's going to be a sunny and warm weekend in our area and there are plenty of outdoor events for you to enjoy.
The party with a purpose is still going on in Lynchburg. Come out to Friday Cheers at Riverfront Park from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The band Out of Spite will be playing great rock and dance music starting at 6 p.m. Tickets are still $5, and you can drink tickets are $3.
I don't know about you, but I've been impatiently waiting for Lynchburg Restaurant Week to start. And this Saturday it's finally here! Check out the 21 local restaurants that participating and offering great deals. You can get a 3-course meal $15 or 3 for $25. This is the first time Lynchburg has a restaurant week, and the point is to get you to try local places for cheap. Check out all the menus here. Make sure you make reservations soon!
Come taste summer at the Summer Solstice Wine Festival in Amherst. There will be eight local vineyards at Lazy Days Winery Saturday and Sunday. You can sample wine paired with locally gown foods and enjoy live music. Tickets are $20 at the gate and $15 if you get them online!
