The conference tournament will expand from eight teams to 10 next year. Virginia Tech just missed making the tournament this year and was said to have been among the final five eliminated for the NCAA Tournament. This season, the 8 seed Georgia Tech won the tournament and top-seeded Florida State failed to win a game. The Seminoles, though, advanced to the College World Series.
