Faith, family and sports were the focus Friday and Saturday at an area football camp organized by William Campbell products Cedric Peerman and Donald Jones. More kids are out this year learning football skills and much more.
"I came together with my cousin Donnie Jones here last year and we said we wanted to do a camp here. We wanted it to be special and we wanted really high-caliber guys here so we got some former NFL football players and some former college players here too," Peerman said.
Jones said, "Our mission is simple. We believe that inside every kid there's a seed of greatness and our job is to bring that out of them, give them hope, give them a vision and be able to go out and show them what it takes to achieve their highest goals. We want every kid here to dream big. That's the little things we're stressing. We giving our personal experiences and testimonies, telling them, 'Hey look. This is what we were able to accomplish. You guys can do even greater."
