Bedford Co., VA- Bedford County Schools may have to put the brakes on their behind-the-wheel instruction classes.
Last week, the school board discussed cutting the program due to funding. The cars they use need to be replaced. But school officials say they may not have the money to do it.
The school system offers driving instruction to students for about $185. Not all hope is lost though. A program through the Sheriff's Office, called Bedco Cares, is considering kicking in some cash to help replace the cars.
