Lynchburg, VA – Wednesday is National HIV Testing Day, and local organizations are providing free HIV testing.
You can get free tests at the health departments in Amherst, Appomattox, Rustburg, Bedford and Lynchburg. Appointments aren't necessary.
According to the Virginia Department of Health, nearly 1.2 million people live with HIV in the United States, and one in five don't know he/she is infected. HIV testing is an important first step in taking control of your health.
