Roanoke, VA - Americans For Prosperity continued an eight stop run through the Commonwealth with a stop in Roanoke Thursday.

The group says they are trying to show people around the state how former Governor Tim Kaine's policies hurt Virginia.

The stop at the Roanoke Civic Center drew about 25 people to the rally.

"We're highlighting the real facts and the real solutions behind his record as Governor and we need policies here in Virginia, and throughout the country, that lead to economic freedom and we're here to promote those today, said Audrey Jackson.

A similar number of counter demonstrators also showed up including Virginia State Senator John Edwards.

"They're misleading Virginians. They're trying to say he left Virginia in bad shape. That's simply not the case. He balanced the budget every single time," said Edwards.

The tour also made a stop in Lynchburg before heading off to Virginia Beach.
