Update: Arrest Made in Virginia Tech Abduction


Update 6:35 p.m.:

Blacksburg, VA - Police have arrested a man they say was connected to an attempted abduction Friday morning on Virginia Tech's campus.

Alex Armando Cardenas Flores, 33, was arrested and charged with abduction. He is being held without bond.


Blacksburg, VA - Virginia Tech police are warning the community to be especially careful following a reported attempted abduction on campus.

Police say at around 2:15 a.m. Friday a woman was walking across Henderson Lawn toward Alumni Mall, when she was approached by two men. She told officers they grabbed her and attempted to drag her toward a dark colored pickup truck. She was able get away.

Witnesses say the last four digits of the tag were 3330, though they weren't sure which state the plates were from.
