Lynchburg, VA - Central Virginia Community College in Lynchburg is now on probation.
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools put the school probation last week saying it had failed to sufficiently evaluate its educational programs' effectiveness.
The college has now launched an initiative to improve how it evaluates students' academic success.
President John Capps announced the Focus '14 initiative Thursday to ensure the Lynchburg school meets compliance standards by 2013.
