Danville, VA -- The Salvation Army in Danville is helping out with heat relief. They say that anyone who does not have a place to go during this hot temperature is welcome to use their facilities.
They do not usually stay opening in the late afternoon, but if someone needs a place to go, they will make staffing accommodations. The Salvation Army will be available until the temperature drops at night. They say that everyone deserves a place to escape the hot weather.
"Anything that the Salvation Army can do to ease the burden of other people and to help them, we are here to help. We love God we love people, we want to help them," said Janice Dahlin, Cpt. at Salvation Army.
They will also be available through the weekend if you need them.
