Danville, VA- Southside Delegate Danny Marshall decided he wanted to accomplish one item on his bucket list on Saturday.
When he was a teenager, he joined the Civil Air Patrol and back then they didn't have Gliders, so Saturday Marshall finally gets the chance to live out a dream.
He said he wasn't really nervous because his pilot has 40 years of experience and was very relaxed about the entire situation.
He was at the Danville Airport as he was ready to take to the skies on a Glider plane.
"Airplanes have always been kind of a passion of mine and we didn't have a Glider at the time when I was a member of the CAP, way back when, so this is always just something I think- I love airplanes and this is something I've always wanted to do" said Marshall.
The Civil Air Patrol performs services on behalf of the U.S. Air Force such as Homeland Security or providing disaster relief.
