Franklin Co., VA – A Franklin County firefighter and EMT has died Monday from injuries he received while on duty last week.
John L. Echternach Jr., 54, was a member of the Boones Mill Fire-EMS Department and the Franklin County Department of Public Safety since June 2003.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later Monday.
