Lynchburg, VA – Verizon is sending help to Lynchburg residents who don't have power.
Company officials say they are sending a mobile shelter to the Lynchburg library on Memorial Avenue. The shelter, which looks like the one pictured, is a 400 square foot air conditioned tent with room for 12 people. It has satellite phone service, laptops with internet access and charging stations for wireless devices. The shelter is supposed to arrive in Lynchburg on Wednesday afternoon.
