Lynchburg - The Hillcats blew a 5-run lead late in the game but then rallied to edge Wilmington 10-9 for their fourth straight win.
Lynchburg again built a big early lead before losing it. The Hillcats led 8-3 until the Blue Rocks exploded in the seventh for six runs.
Matt Fields got it started with the solo shot to right, Brett Eibner added a two-run blast.
Tied at 8, Blaine Sims' pitch in the dirt got away, allowing the sixth run of the inning to score, Wilmington grabbed a 9-8 lead.
But the 'Cats rallied bottom of the seventh, Chris Garcia stroked his third hit, a double to left that scored Edward Salcedo all the way from first to tie the game at 9.
Lynchburg got a huge break on what should have been out number three when Fields dropped the throw to first allowing the go-ahead run to score.
Salcedo went 3-for-3 for the Hillcats and scored four runs.
Lynchburg goes for the three-game series sweep over Wilmington Friday night.
