Amherst, VA - Guardians of Central Virginia Training Center residents are still fighting to keep their loved ones there.
This week some CVTC parents filed a third party complaint against the Commonwealth and the Department of Justice. In the complaint guardians are asking for some conditions to be placed in the D-O-J settlement. Among the conditions, parents want their loved ones to receive the same level of care outside the training center if they are discharged. And, parents say they want to have veto power over a discharge orders. The complaint is in response to a federal judge's ruling to allow current training center residents to stay at the training center if they choose.
