Farmer's Market Now Open at Olde Dominion Agricultural Complex

Chatham, VA- On Saturday folks came out to Chatham for some good Virginian-grown food at the Olde Dominion Agricultural Complex.
It was their first for the year and will run every Saturday through the fall.
The outdoor market opened at eight this morning but due to huge attendance most farmers had sold out of their fresh vegetables by 11.
No worries though- because there were other specialty items and baked goods, including a free hot dog luncheon.
"It's just been a lot of fun to come and see the homegrown products, there's corn, there's cantaloupes, tomatoes, there's lots of vegetables and pastries, and wine- we got a couple of our local wineries represented here too" said Brenda Bowman, a market shopper.
Local farmers are depending on Mother Nature to bring some rain this week so they can have more fresh veggies to sell next weekend.
