Salem, VA- Due to the oppressive heat, the 25th annual Salem Fair will open at 4 pm instead of noon on Sunday July 8th.
Fair Manager Carey Harveycutter, Deggeller Attractions President Don Deggeller and other members of the fair's management team are all in agreement that this is the best step to take for the patrons and workers alike.
The fair continues through July 15 and the forecast calls for cooler conditions beginning on Monday.
