Lynchburg, VA - There are lots of people looking for financial assistance after the storms. In Lynchburg, Interfaith Outreach Association is beginning to take calls from customers looking for emergency assistance.
They say if you are submitting an application, you need to make sure you have the following documentation: Photo identification, a social security card, proof of household income for the past 30 days, the bill for which you need financial assistance and receipts.
"Keep receipts for what they have spent money on because we do require documentation for the interview for financial assistance," said Shawne Farmer, executive director of Interfaith Outreach Association.
Farmer says they expect to see a significant increase in requests for emergency assistance with bills.
