Martinsville, VA – Police have identified the body of the person found in a Martinsville apartment Tuesday.
Lance O'Brian Schoolfield was found dead from a gunshot wound.
The Martinsville Police Department is continuing to investigate.

Martinsville, VA - Martinsville Police are trying to figure out how a man ended up dead at an apartment Tuesday morning.
They were called to the 100 block of Moss Street shortly before 8:00 a.m., where they found a man dead on the kitchen floor. The victim has not been identified.
Police say they are waiting on results from the Medical Examiner's office, and will not say whether there was anything criminal in this death.
