Forest - American Legion action, Big Island Post 217 hosted Danville Post 325 Wednesday night. Big Island struck for four runs in the first inning and went on to beat Danville 10-3.
Christian Sanderson went 3-for-3 on the night and scored two runs for Big Island. Danville got one back in the third, Chris Buckner singled up the middle scoring Brad Keen to cut the margin to 4-1.
But in the bottom of the inning, Big Island's Antonio Fazio CRUSHES this one to left for a two-run homer to make it 6-1.
Alex Bowker got the win on the mound.
Big Island won 10-3 and will host Lynchburg Post 16 Friday night.
